Why is the Nepalese flag torn?

A country's flag is a symbol of that country. Therefore, people from any country in the world value their national flag very much.

If you watch the Olympics, you can see that the types of flags are quite diverse when the flag of the country that won the gold medal is raised on the podium.

Among flags, the most common design is the tricolor, such as the flags of France or Italy. The Japanese flag is very easy to draw because you only need to draw one red circle in the center.

Currently, there are about 200 flags around the world.

However, among them, there is a very unique flag - the flag of Nepal. It is the only flag in the world that has a distinct shape.

All national flags have one thing in common - they are rectangular in shape. Although there are slight differences in the vertical and horizontal ratios, there is no country with a non-rectangular flag.

However, the Nepalese flag has a unique shape with two triangles attached. It looks like it has been torn. Therefore, once you see the flag of Nepal, you can never forget it.

The name of the country, Nepal, means "at the foot of the Himalayas" in Sanskrit. As the name suggests, Nepal is a country located on the slopes of the Himalayas. It is also famous as the country with the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest.
